Application for Chinese Government Scholarship Program 2022 at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU for short) is available now. Related matters are notified as follows:

I. Scholarship Categories and Duration

Master program: major study 2-3 years, one year of remedial Chinese language study before entering the major study can be applied;

Doctoral program: major study 3-4 years, one year of remedial Chinese language study before entering the major study can be applied.

II. Eligibility

1. Applicants should be citizens of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good physical and mental health.

2. Applicants are not sponsored by any other type of Chinese scholarship at the same time.

3. Requirements of age and education

(1) Be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs；

(2) Be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.

III. Scholarship Coverage and Criteria

1. Tuition fees and registration fees

2. Free university dormitory, twin rooms for Master’s student, and single rooms for doctoral students

3. Living stipend: CNY 3,000 per month for Master’s students, and CNY 3,500 per month for Doctoral students

4. Comprehensive medical insurance

IV. Application Period and Majors

1. Application Period: March 1^st – April 15^th, 2022, online application.

The hard copies should be forwarded to IMNU by April 30^th.

2. Majors: please refer to attached Majors in Admission for doctoral and Master’s Program for details.

V. Application Procedure

1. Visit the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn) and register an account (Firefox or Internet Explorer 11.0 is recommended to use. “Compatible view mode” function should be closed ahead of editing if Internet Explorer is used.).

2. Login with your account and password for application. Please click the “Application” menu in the upper left corner after logging in to the system, and select Program Category “Type B”, and institution code 10135 (Inner Mongolia Normal University). Click the “Save” button at the bottom right.

3. Fill in all the application information and upload“Supporting Documents” in terms of application list in the left side of the web page. Catalog of Discipline Field and Specialty could be referred to Majors in Admission for doctoral Program and Master’s Majors in Admission for doctoral Program. Please make sure that all the information and uploaded documents are accurate and valid. “Catalog of Discipline Field, First-level Discipline, Specialty” is also available from the “Help”. Applicants could also download the file to identify the relation between Discipline and Major. Check each part of your application carefully before submission by clicking“Submit” to complete the online application.

4. Before the application being processed, applicant can revoke the submitted application by clicking “Withdraw” and edit the application. After revoking the application, applicant must submit at second time after re-editing, or the application will not be processed. The application cannot be revoked once it is processed.

5. Click” Print the Application Form” and download the form generated upon successful online application. Print out two copies of Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form.

6. Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form and other relevant hard copies should be forwarded to IMNU in strict accordance with the time specified by IMNU.

7. The video interview to some applicants at random will be conducted after the application deadline, by the International Students Admission Office in International Exchange College of IMNU, to guarantee authentic and valid application materials. Contact address and email address should be provided in details.

VI. Application Documents

All the application documents are in duplicate.

Applicants must ensure that the submitted application materials are authentic and valid.

1. Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form. Applicants are required to fill in and submit application information online at the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn) and then download and print out the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form generated upon successful online application.

2. Notarized photocopy of diploma or certification of highest education (officially issued and stamped by the academic affairs office of current university). Documents in languages other than Chinese or English should be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations. New college graduates should submit the pre-graduation certificate and transcripts issued by the school, with notarized Chinese or English translations. They should submit the notarized degree certificates on the admission date in order to maintain the admission qualification.

3. Academic transcripts (officially issued and stamped by the academic affairs office of current university). Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

4. Study or research plan: no less than 800 words in English or Chinese.

5. Two letters of recommendation by professors or associate professors. The letter can only be written in Chinese or English.

6. A photocopy of Physical Examination Form for Foreigners and Blood Test Report (download from http://www.csc.edu.cn/). The physical examinations should strictly cover all the items listed in Physical Examination Form for Foreigners. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants will make the Form invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take medical examination as it is valid for only 6 months. The original copies of Physical Examination Form for Foreigners and Blood Test Report should be submitted on the admission date.

7. Photocopy of valid Passport photo page (with validity later than December 2023).

8. Certificate of Chinese proficiency (photocopy of valid HSK or HSKK transcript reports).

9. Photocopy of published academic papers and works, or academic awards or certificate (if any).

10. Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China.

11. Majors applied for should be referred to Attachment 1: Majors in Admission for Doctoral Program and Attachment 2: Majors in Admission for Master’s Program.

Note:

The hard copies of above application materials (in duplicate) should be sent to IMNU in strict accordance with the time specified by IMNU.

VII. Admission and Enrollment

1. There is no application fee for the Chinese Government Scholarship program. IMNU does not entrust any agencies at home or abroad to recruit scholarship students. All applicants please directly submit application documents to International Exchange College of IMNU.

2. The applications will be regarded as invalid and will not be accepted if they fail to meet the enrollment requirements or the application documents are incomplete. Application documents will NOT be returned regardless of admission status.

3. IMNU will conduct the application materials review, pre-admission evaluation, and comprehensive assessment to select outstanding applicants.

4. Admitted candidates will receive the Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China (also known as the JW 201) before August 30^th every year. The registration time will be announced in the Admission Notice.

5. Admitted candidates should apply for Student Visa at the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in your home country, with your valid ordinary passport, Visa Application for Study in China (the JW 201), the university's Admission Notice, Physical Examination Form for Foreigners, and original copies of the diploma of highest education and transcripts.

6. Admitted candidates must go through the admission and registration procedures at IMNU in strict accordance with the time specified in the Admission Notice. Those who register later than the registration deadline will not be eligible for scholarships.
